Seriously, thank you Goode for making this all possible and to Annie for the invitation. I'd like to also thank Annie's and my good friend and inspiration, Joan, for keeping it real. I can't wait till January. Isn't there another pool I can join...before I begin Gambler's Anonymous! Keep reaching for the stars - gone2recess

I do have to say kudos to you, Ira, for realizing that there might not be such a big Morman phone tree as I suspected, since you Republicans wouldn't even vote for Mitt Romney - I should have figured that one out.... Things are crazy in Sea-Town right now - but I'm very happy about the outcome of this particular fantasy pool...if only we could get the fantasy pool in our yard working by the wedding rehearsal dinner tomorrow.... :) Love to Baltimore, LA.
Bow Down!Stephen Benigno -Thursday, 22 May 2008 23:49 EDT
You mere mortals are no match to my idol brain!!!!! J/J I had a blast playing this game and look forward to January to start it all over again.
P.S.
Michelle, what happened you aren't even on the radar. Jeez from first to worst. That's what happens when you step to me. Ha!
Peace Out!
Kim is a nice Host. daniel engleman -Thursday, 22 May 2008 22:56 EDT
She would have tied too, but forgot to vote last week on purpose , knowing the pot would have been too small for a four way tie. Thanks again for running this web site and hope you keep it going again next years with some new comers.
Congratulations to Maria, Rose and Steven -3way tiedaniel engleman -Thursday, 22 May 2008 22:52 EDT
You guys had a 3 way tie, but Steven picked the winneer so if there is any uneven amount to be divided up Steven should get it. No i rescind on that since he didn't write any comments . Maria should get the spare change, no she didn't write any comments
either. so the knock out goes to Rose. She kept things alive and interesting. She must have learned that from all the interactive writing she did when she was teaching 3rd grade. The two hour special did not send me to the moon. I think they should just announce the winners like they do the lottery numbers. Even Jimmy Kimmel bombed. Everyone have a nice summer. ONly 22 more days of teaching for the California crowd and you Vegas people stay out of those casinos and away from the buffets.
Does Anyone want to do the "So You Think You Can Dance" contest?Rachel -Thursday, 22 May 2008 16:31 EDT
I am in if you are. I think the show looks good.
Congrats Donielle!Pitchy Pete -Thursday, 22 May 2008 15:12 EDT
Job well done! Now who's in for the "So You Think You Can Dance" Pool???
CONGRATS, PITCHY!Anne -Thursday, 22 May 2008 15:03 EDT
You had a steady lead all along, and despite the one occurrence where I had to contact the Tvvoting.com CEO for you, you've done a really good job. I think it is wonderful to share your winnings with all of us. I was thinking that if I won I would use the prize money towards Belly's first place award for last year's stellar win. I swear, that is still going to happen. Our kids will probably be in college, but it will happen.
But what I really want to say is CONGRATULATIONS to Pitchy again! You deserve it. :)
Cook is overratedJames Vegher -Thursday, 22 May 2008 12:29 EDT
He copied other peoples covers for his 2 most original songs choices and he sounds like everything else on the radio now - but he should have won anyway.
This was great - I hope we can do it again next year. Do you guys watch survivor?
Who's Your Daddy?Amy -Thursday, 22 May 2008 11:37 EDT
That would be me! Just for clarification of how I pulled this off I'll share it with you:
First of all I had David Cook as my long shot pick from the get go. There was one person who had more points with David Cook winning but they didn't make their long shot pick until we were already a handful of weeks into the final 12 so they didn't get full point value.
Second, I picked David Cook to win last night. I was the only person on here that picked David Cook to win. So not only did I get the 10 point kicker for my long shot but I got three points for having him right. Every other person had David A. winning.
Finally, I am just better looking than the rest of you and smarter. Face it, if you had the foresight and talent as I do then you might have won this fantasy game. There is also something to be said for sticking with your picks until the end and there was no way I was voting for anybody other than Cook going in to last night. He was my horse after all.
You don't have to say anything else. I know you are all jealous of me. It's pretty fitting. A gay closed last night's show before the results (George Michael) and the gay got to close the door on this fantasy game (yours truly). Gay people rock.
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
Love,
Amy
So sweet is the taste of victoryKay Butts -Thursday, 22 May 2008 10:33 EDT
As I wake up this morning I smell a sweet smell and ask myself - what could that be? I get up turn on the news and there it is re-lived for me again. The taste of victory, so sweet so wonderful, so deserving! What a wonderful world that we live in where for the next year those closest to me will know the amazing talent that I have for picking winners and losers.
A toast to the winner... oh yeah - that's me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

American Idol 2008 pool recapJackie Cote -Thursday, 22 May 2008 9:45 EDT
hey guys! so david cook takes the prize. i'm okay with this. they were both pretty good and i would have been happy with the outcome on either side. i have a confession to make though: i didn't watch a minute of the results show last night! i was too busy... um... being asleep at 9 pm. no lie! oh well, maybe archuleta would have won if i'd been watching haha. and congratulations to our winners kirsten and blythe... you guys had it from the beginning! i'm impressed with your AI guessing skills.
so, did you guys like this pool? i thought it was a lot of fun! i lost a little interest after i stopped being able to watch the show on Tuesdays, but it was still fun. are you guys interested in doing it again next season? i know i would be. one change i would make is that i think we should definitely do it for money... i think it would make me a little more focused and could be something really fun for the winners! it might also increase the trash-talking/AI in-depth analysis, which i always love. and we never did have that results show party - next year! let me know what you guys think!
i'll see a number of you in buffalo this weekend... as for the rest of you i will hopefully talk to you soon!
HERE IS THE SPLITAngelo -Thursday, 22 May 2008 9:28 EDT
Maria - Just so you know, here is how everyone placed and what there cut should be. I just figured i would help you out here to avoid confusion:
Paul is in first place and you should send him $102
Andrea S and Lisa are tied for 2nd/3rd which means they split the 2nd and 3rd place prize. That would be 68/2 = $34. You should send them $34 each.
Good job everyone, and congratulations to our winners!!
See you next year!
